The grand seaside estate

Today, Oceanside, California is known for its military ties, towering breaks, and ramshackle charm. However, its history is one of classic beach town allure. Gingerbread architecture. An iconic pier. Breezy elegance. The challenge was to create a destination that tapped into this history while infusing it with a fresh, modern dimension.

The result of our work was “The Seabird” – a classic “estate by the beach,” inspired by SoCal’s grand coastal resorts and aligned with a contemporary sensibility. In addition to developing the brand concept, naming, identity, and materials, we also created the branding for “Piper,” The Seabird’s signature restaurant. Paired with the bohemian-chic Mission Pacific across the road,the two hotels offer distinct yet complementary visions of upscale oceanfront hospitality.
