A 'Bama take on boutique luxury
As the first true boutique luxury hospitality experience in Tuscaloosa, The Alamite had to strike a delicate balance. In a town steeped in collegiate culture and dominated by the University of Alabama, the challenge was to create a sophisticated, upscale experience that would also feel grounded and inspire local pride among the alumni, parents, and football fans who would make up much of its guest base.
The branding we developed embraced Tuscaloosa’s rich cultural identity, incorporating subtle nods to the university in a refined, understated way. Traditional type and colors were reimagined to suit modern sensibilities, creating a design language that felt both rooted and contemporary. The result is a boutique hotel that honors its local heritage while delivering a distinctive, elevated experience for its guests
